About Us

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council is the official governing student body of the College of Arts and Sciences. It is a student-centered organization that fosters genuine concern for the students, attains holistic development, and promotes inclusivity, transparency, and social and academic development. Along with its core values being Leadership Identity, Excellence in Service, Accountability and Academic Integrity, and Diligence in Commitment (LEAD), they lead to embody the importance of accountability and transparency, and secure its goals and mission.

Mission

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council shall establish a genuine student government that shall embody the ideals and aspirations of the CAS students. It commits itself into fostering good governance, unity, equality, peace, justice, leadership, academic rights, and freedom among College of Arts and Sciences students.

Goals

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council shall uplift the academic integrity of the College of Arts and Sciences by engaging students in meaningful school involvement, broadening their interests, and involving them more actively in the planning, organization, and
implementation of activities that helps in the development of the members as a whole.

Vision

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council aims to develop among its members the duty of preserving academic integrity through its properly guided and functioning student government. Determined to develop responsible civic-minded students, it aspires to promote good leadership and character for the development of the CAS Community.

Objectives

The College of Arts and Sciences Sciences Student Council works:

To foster genuine concern for the students and an effort to attain holistic development;
To respond immediately to CAS student needs and problems whenever possible and attainable;
To be inclusive and transparent and guarantee services, programs, and policies that help in strengthening health, social and academic development of the students;
Foster values indicative of honesty, integrity, discipline, and mutual respect among students, faculty, and staff; and
To cater students, leaders, and the general public's needs both online and face-to-face, molding them for excellence in academics and service, quality academic journey, and environmental and social consciousness, endowed with humility in greatness and compassion for their fellowmen.
